Webpage Anchor

Note: For those familiar with Comment Anchor on TikTok One, Webpage Anchor is our new workflow that incorporates anchors that live within a pinned comment in your creator videos.
TikTok One Webpage Anchor allows advertisers to add and pin a clickable link to the creator videos that will live at the top of the comments for viewers to learn more about the product or service in the video. All of this means that you can see how organic content drives click-throughs for any branded video with this anchor enabled.
There are different types of Webpage anchors to choose from:
  1. Web destination link: Drives viewers to a product detail page opened within TikTok. The anchor shows up both in the creator's video comments and in the feed. This is only available for countries where TikTok Shop is not live.
  1. E-commerce template: Drivers viewers to an internal landing page where brands can choose to add a special coupon. The landing page has a CTA that will drive viewers to a website. The anchor shows up in the creator's video comments.
  1. Entertainment template: Drives viewers to an internal landing page where brands can add a video preview. The landing page has a CTA that will drive viewers to a website. The anchor shows up in the creator's video comments
How do I set up a Webpage Anchor?
Step 1: Create your anchor
  • Under Assets, click Anchorand then press Create anchor to begin building your anchor landing page. Select Webpage anchor and click Next.
  • Choose the type of Webpage anchor based on your business vertical and campaign objective.
Step 2A: Web destination link
  • In this anchor type, the call to action will live both on the video in-feed and within a pinned comment on the video.
  • Select "Product detail page" and choose your product category.
  • Choose the country of your target audience The anchor will only be displayed in the country you select. Add a link to the product detail page. Please note, that if the link is not a product detail page, the anchor may be rejected.
  • Choose your call-to-action that will appear on your anchor. Options include: Watch Now, Listen Now, Read More, Shop Now, Get Offer, Learn More, Contact Us, Join Now, Apply Now.
  • Confirm the link and category are correct.
  • Under Anchor management, you can add a pixel from your Business Center into your anchor to enable full-funnel tracking. Beyond click-through rate, adding a pixel into your anchor enables you to see additional tracking metrics from your creator videos, like add-to-cart or purchases. To add a pixel, you must connect your TikTok One account to your Business Center. For more information, click here. Once connected, click "Pixel" and select the right pixel.
Note: In order to be able to select a pixel to attach to your anchor, you will need to provide pixel permission to your TikTok One account through your Business Center. Please click here for more information
Please add your Anchor name and thumbnail. This information only appears under the Anchors list tab for you and will not be visible to viewers.
Step 2B: E-commerce Template
  • First select a country. The anchor will only show to viewers in the country you select. Audiences in other regions will not see this anchor. Add a link where you want to redirect viewers who click on the anchor. Once selected, press Next.
  • Note: To complete a campaign in multiple countries, you will need multiple anchors. Once created, you can use the "copy" feature to quickly create copies of your anchors with different links.
  • Under Anchor display, provide a short title and description of your anchor (20 characters each). This is what will show on the actual anchor.
  • Under Landing page, upload a background image.
  • Note: Image should be <2 MB in JPEG/PNG/GIF format. Ratio: 210px (width) and 375px (height).
  • If you choose toggle on Add coupon link to include a coupon on your landing page. If desired, add a discount code. Provide a link to the landing page where you want to direct users to from the coupon.
  • Choose whether to direct viewers to a website page or an app. Enter the corresponding URL. If you select "App," you have the option to add a deep link.
  • Note: Third party tracking link/UTM tracking is not currently available for Webpage Anchor
  • Under Anchor management, please add your Anchor name and thumbnail. This information only appears under the Anchors list tab for you and will not be visible to viewers.
  • You can choose to add a pixel from your Business Center into your Webpage Anchor to enable full-funnel tracking.   • Check the box to accept the terms and click Confirm to complete the creation of the anchor.
Step 2C: Entertainment Template
  • First select a country. The anchor will only show to viewers in the country you select. Audiences in other regions will not see this anchor. Add a link where you want to redirect viewers who click on the anchor. Once selected, press Next.
  • Note: To complete a campaign in multiple countries, you will need multiple anchors. Once created, you can use the "copy" feature to quickly create copies of your anchors with different links.
  • Under Anchor display, provide a short title and description of your anchor (20 characters each). This is what will show on the actual anchor.
  • Under Landing page, upload a background image.

  • If desired, toggle on Video clip and upload a video clip that will play on the landing page. Video should be <50 MB in MP4/MOV format. Ratio: 375px(width) and 210px (height).
  • Under Button link, provide a link to the landing page where you want to direct users to

  • Under Anchor management, please add your Anchor name and thumbnail. This information only appears under the Anchors list tab for you and will not be visible to viewers.

Step 3: Create your campaign
After you submit your anchor, your request will be reviewed by our moderation team. To help save time, you can begin building your campaign while your anchor is under review.
Note: It usually takes up to 12 hours for the Anchor request to be approved. If the anchor is rejected, you can edit the anchor and resubmit it to moderation team for review. You can view the status of all your anchors by going to Assets and clicking on Anchor.
Tip: If you want to make anchors in multiple countries, you can quickly click "copy" to make a duplicate anchor or "edit" to change the anchor region.
  • Begin creating your campaign by clicking Create campaign on the home page or under Campaigns.
  • Choose either "Collaborate directly with creators" or "Get ad creatives at scale"
  • For "Collaborate directly with creators," anchors can be added to both standard and lite campaigns, as long as the post is under Creator Account Spark Ads.
  • For "Get ad creatives at scale," anchors can only be added to campaigns where ad type is Creator Account Spark Ads.
  • Toggle on "Anchor " and choose the anchor type. Select the anchor you want to attach. You can select an anchor that is approved or under review.
  • Note: You will only be able to select an anchor that is created for the same country that your campaign will be in
  • If needed, you can click "Add an anchor" to create a new anchor. You can preview both the Anchor link and landing page. When satisfied, press "Next."
  • Finish completing your campaign brief and press submit. Once submitted, you will not be able to edit the campaign brief.
Step 4: Creator uploads video
The creator will post via TikTok One or the invite link, as the anchor will be attached automatically.
Step 5: Monitor campaign performance
Once the video has been posted, the advertiser can view the campaign performance under Reporting located on the navigation bar. Please note that it currently takes 1 day for Webpage Anchor data to populate. All reporting is visible by both campaign and each individual video within the campaign.
  • If you added a pixel to your anchor, you will be able to see additional metrics from events like initiate checkout, complete payment, and add to cart, as long as they are set up in your pixel
Pixel users: If you add a pixel to your anchor, you can monitor additional metrics on TikTok One. On the anchor reporting page, you can choose to add additional metrics based on your pixel. Simply click "Add Metrics" and select up to 6 additional metrics to help evaluate your anchor performance
