About Symphony credits

Last updated: September 2026

Symphony Creative Studio is free to use for all advertisers. There are many features and tools that advertisers can tap into daily to create TikTok-fit creatives for their campaigns. Symphony credits are a plan-based weekly allocation that gives you access to AI-powered video generation tools in Symphony Creative Studio. While Symphony Creative Studio is free to use, credits provide a structured way to access more advanced AI capabilities by aligning usage needs with advertising activity on TikTok.

Benefits of Symphony credits

  • Access to powerful creative tools: Use credits to generate high-quality, AI-powered video ads at scale.

  • Value for your investment: The more you invest in your ad campaigns, the more creative capacity you unlock at no additional cost.

  • Clear path to growth: The plan-based system provides a clear incentive to scale your advertising efforts on TikTok to gain access to more advanced features.

What your credits include

  • Weekly base credits: The core credits included with your current plan.

  • Bonus credits: Additional credits that may become available when eligible spend requirements are met.

  • Total credits: The full amount currently available to you in the active cycle.

How to qualify for a Symphony credit plan

Your credit plan is determined by required actions:

  • Linking your TikTok Ads Manager account to Symphony

  • Spending certain amounts on ads

Your credit plan status takes effect after completing the required actions, with timing dependent on which action triggers the qualification. If your qualification is triggered by TikTok Ads Manager account linkage, the status takes effect immediately. If your qualification is triggered by an ad delivery, your status takes effect on the next Monday at 12AM UTC.

If you link multiple ad accounts to Symphony, the credit plan is determined by the single ad account with the highest spend. To get more credits, you can move to a higher Symphony plan or qualify for bonus credits when eligible spend conditions are met.

Symphony credit usage

Credits are required for:

  • Video generation

  • Symphony Agent (currently available to select customers)

Other features, such as image generation, avatar videos, translate & dub, and video editing tools, do not require credits.

Credits are consumed based on the total length of the videos you generate, at a rate of one credit per second. For example, generating a 10-second video consumes 10 credits. Before you start a generation, Symphony shows how many credits the action will use.

Symphony credit renewal

Your weekly credits are allocated and managed according to the following rules:

  • Renewal: Your credit balance is refreshed every Monday at 12:00 AM UTC.

  • Rollover: Unused credits from the previous week do not roll over and will expire upon the weekly refresh.

  • Credit depletion: If you run out of credits, you will not be able to generate new videos using features that require credits until your balance is refreshed. The system will guide you with clear next steps to upgrade your plan, such as linking a TTAM account or launching an ad campaign.

  • Refunds: If a video generation fails because of a system error, the credits spent on that attempt will be automatically returned to your account.

  • Bonus credit timing: Bonus credits follow a weekly cycle and expire after the active grant window ends.

Troubleshooting Symphony credits

  • Your credit numbers look different than expected: Check whether the correct advertiser account is linked, whether eligible spend was counted correctly, and whether the page is still within an update window.

  • Your bonus credits have not appeared yet: Confirm that eligible spend has been counted and allow time for the weekly cycle to refresh.

  • Your credits are frozen: Credit frozen means your credits are temporarily unavailable. If this happens, review whether your recent qualified spend meets the current requirements and allow time for the system to update in a later cycle.

  • Your Symphony-made video spend was not counted: Use Upload Video for Tracking and submit the related TikTok Ads Manager video ID. If automatic matching does not work, submit the related Symphony-generated asset for review.
