How to optimize your site for preloading content

Last updated: June 2025

If you want to use the pre-loading feature for TikTok in-feed ads, you need to optimize your site for preloading web content.

Before you begin

By default, all landing pages on TikTok in-Feed ads are preloaded on the Android side and iOS side. We do not recommend preloaded web content when a landing page URL includes the uploading of files.

How to optimize your site for preloading web content

To optimize your site for preloading:

  1. Ensure your site is optimized for mobile.

  2. Compress files to increase mobile content loading speed.

  3. Use multi-region hosting to reduce server response time.

  4. Design HTML as static, which is more conducive to the effect of preloading.

Opt-out from preloading web content

If you would like to opt-out of preloading web content, you can send an email containing your Adv ID or Ad Group ID to preloading.support@bytedance.com.

Note: Inactive campaigns, ad groups, or ads will not be preloaded by the server.
