Engaged Session is a traffic optimization goal that can help you bring high-intent leads to your website. Engaged Session lets you optimize based on customers that have engaged with your site by remaining on a page for at least 10 seconds or taking other actions, such as clicks or navigating to another page.
Note: You can increase your baseline requirements to more than 10 seconds or a specific number of page visits. Please contact your TikTok representative.
When setting up Engaged Session, you can set it up with an existing pixel for the most accurate measurement and reporting. Learn how to set up a pixel.
To set up Engaged Session without a pixel:
Log in to TikTok Ads Manager.
Click Create ad.
Select Traffic.
Click Manual.
Go to Bidding and optimization, select Engaged session for the Optimization goal.
Complete your ad details and submit.
Note: Engaged Session without a pixel is available in select regions.
To view your Engaged session metrics, you can access the reports through Campaigns or Analytics.
To view Engaged Session metrics through Campaigns:
Log in to TikTok Ads Manager.
Click Campaigns.
Click Custom table.
In the search bar, type engaged session.
Select your preferred fields.
To view Engaged Session metrics through Analytics:
Click Analytics in the toolbar at the top of the page.
Click Custom reports.
Click on the Metrics tab.
In the search bar, type engaged session.
Select your preferred fields.
Without a pixel: Select metrics with a TikTok label.
With a pixel: Select metrics with a web label.
