Best practices for iOS 14.5+ dedicated campaigns on the TikTok Ad Network (formerly TikTok Pangle)

Last updated: September 2026

TikTok Ad Network (formerly TikTok Pangle) can help advertisers reach more users through premium in-app inventory. For iOS 14.5+ app promotion campaigns, you can use TikTok Ad Network placement to expand delivery while managing campaign setup under Apple's SKAdNetwork framework.

Before you create a TikTok Ad Network iOS 14.5+ campaign

Before setting up your campaign, make sure that:

  • Your app is ready for iOS 14.5+ campaign delivery.

  • Your app and measurement setup support SKAdNetwork reporting.

  • You have reviewed your available iOS dedicated campaign quota.

  • Your measurement partner can support the reporting setup required for your campaign.

Placement options

When creating an iOS 14.5+ dedicated campaign, you can select from the following placement options, depending on campaign type and account eligibility:

  • TikTok placement

  • TikTok Ad Network placement

  • Automatic placement (also called eligible placement for some customers)

If you select TikTok Ad Network placement, your campaign will deliver on TikTok Ad Network inventory. If you select automatic placement, your campaign may be delivered across both TikTok and TikTok Ad Network, and the campaign will consume quota from both placement groups.

Best practices for dedicated campaigns using TikTok Ad Network placement

To improve campaign setup and delivery, we recommend that you:

  1. Use the right placement strategy. Use TikTok Ad Network placement when you want to focus delivery on TikTok Ad Network inventory. Use automatic placement when you want the system to optimize delivery across eligible placements.

  2. Monitor dedicated campaign quota. iOS dedicated campaign quota is limited at the app level. Before creating new campaigns, review your existing iOS campaigns and confirm whether they use TikTok placement, TikTok Ad Network placement, or automatic placement.

  3. Confirm measurement partner support. Work with your Mobile Measurement Partner to confirm that SKAdNetwork postback and reporting are properly configured for TikTok Ad Network campaigns.

  4. Avoid unnecessary campaign duplication. Creating multiple campaigns for the same app, objective, and placement may consume quota quickly. Consolidate campaigns where possible and pause campaigns that are no longer needed.

  5. Review available reporting. Review available TikTok Ads Manager reporting to understand TikTok Ad Network delivery and performance. For automatic placement campaigns, reporting availability and placement-level breakdown may vary by campaign type, reporting surface, and measurement setup.

Note: Campaign availability, optimization options, and reporting capabilities may vary depending on campaign type, account eligibility, app setup, and measurement partner support.
