About Two-Step Verification

Before getting started: This feature is currently in testing and not available for all users.

Two-step verification (2SV) is an extra layer of security for your TikTok For Business account. When you enable 2SV, you will need to enter your password and a verification code to access your account. This additional layer of verification will help ensure that you are the only person who can access your account.

Enable two-step verification

You can turn on 2SV directly from your TikTok For Business User Settings page. Currently, there are three methods to enable 2SV.

  • By text message

  • By email

  • By authenticator app

Once you set up a method to enable 2SV, this is how you receive the verification code needed to access your TikTok For Business account. We highly recommend setting up more than one method for 2SV. This way, if you have trouble receiving your verification code, you can use a different method.

If you use more than one method for 2SV, the first method you set up is where the system will attempt to send the code. To send the code using a different method, you will need to click Select a different 2-step verification method when logging into your account.

By text message

  1. Go to TikTok For Business User Settings > Security.

  2. Click the checkbox next to Text message.
