How to Grow Your Business with Square x TikTok

Square x TikTok is the quickest way for Square merchants to get your business set up on TikTok. Once you complete the integration you will have access to all of the organic and paid features that TikTok offers.


Which features are available for use with Square x TikTok?

Our product availability is constantly evolving, and the date of availability depends on each country.

Generally, merchants using the Square x TikTok can access the available ad formats in their region via TikTok Ads Manager. Additionally, merchants using the integration will have access to some exclusive features and capabilities.

Organic “product discovery” features

  • ​TikTok Community: Once you get set up on TikTok you can making start TikTok videos and build a community around your brand.

  • ​TikTok Shopping Partner Integration: A suite of solutions, features, and advertising tools that empowers brands and merchants to meaningfully engage with their customers, including:

    • ​Product Links: Links placed on organic videos highlighting one or multiple products and pointing to the product detailed page.

    • ​Shopping tab: A public tab on your profile that showcases your synced catalog and points to individual product detail pages, where customers can purchase your items.

Paid Ad formats

In-feed ads, including:

  • Promote: A lightweight self-serve advertising tool in the TikTok app (does not require a TikTok Ads Manager Account), enabling you to boost your content quickly and straightforwardly.

  • ​Spark Ads: Spark Ads is a native ad format that enables brands to leverage organic TikTok posts their advertising. This unique ad format lets you create ads on TikTok Ads Manager using your own TikTok posts or posts made by TikTok Creators - with their authorization.

  • ​Dynamic Showcase Ads (based on Catalog Sales Objective*): Dynamic Showcase Ads (Catalog Sales Objective) drive conversions through personalized ad targeting at scale. They allow brands to automatically promote thousands of products, delivering a curated ad experience to your customers that combine product inventory and customer activity on apps, such as adding to a cart or viewing a product. The feature is available to merchants who install the TikTok Integration (please allow 3-5 business days post-integration).

  • Collection Ads: This ad format enables advertisers to use a product gallery card/image card and an instant gallery page/instant product page for their business. This seamless shopping experience features a combination of video and product images pulled directly from the catalog with CTA to drive conversion on a product or promotion. This feature will be automatically enabled for TikTok Integration users on TikTok Ads Manager.


The formats above are all offered in “Auction” mode (I.e., via a self-serve bidding platform on TikTok Ads Manager). For “Reservation” ad formats, please contact your TikTok Sales Representative.
