Safe Budget Increase is an optional feature for advertisers who use the maximum results bidding strategy and want to scale with more control. It lets you add extra daily budget and set a target cost per result for that additional spend, all while your base budget continues to deliver under standard maximum results logic.

How Safe Budget Increase works

When you turn on Safe Budget Increase, you set three values: your base daily budget, your extra daily budget, and your target cost per result. Your base budget continues to deliver as usual. The system can then use the extra budget when it sees enough stable performance to scale within your target-cost guardrail.


Your target cost per result is the amount you'd like the system to aim for when spending the extra budget. The actual cost per result may be higher or lower, so this target is a guide rather than the guaranteed limit. In the same way, the extra daily budget is a spending limit rather than a guarantee that the system will spend it every day.


Example use case

You may want to use Safe Budget Increase when a campaign already has stable performance and you want to reach more people or generate more results without making a full budget jump. Instead of increasing the whole budget and monitoring the change manually, you can set an extra budget amount and a corresponding target cost per result and let the system decide when performance supports using the extra budget.
