You can set automated rules in TikTok Ads Manager to automatically check and manage your SKAN 4.0 app campaigns with rules-based tasks. When a SKAN 4.0 app campaign is turned off for the first time, you need to select the attribution window for this campaign, otherwise automated rules will select the 0-2 days attribution window.
For overall benefits and features across all campaign types, learn more about automated rules.
With Apple SKAN 4.0, there are 3 attribution windows of varying lengths: 0-2, 3-7, and 8-35 days. While the campaign is active, we receive postbacks for all attribution windows. By choosing a window, you are selecting which to maintain when your campaign is paused.
Options with a longer window require more time to receive and, as a result, more time before campaigns become available again. This can't be changed after you confirm your selection. To select a different option, you'll need to create another campaign. Please see below for a preview of this selection in TikTok Ads Manager.
When applying automated rules to turn off SKAN 4.0 app campaigns, automated rules will select the 0-2 days attribution window if an attribution window was not selected previously. This means that only postback 1 (24-48 hours) data will be shown when you pause the campaign, and the reporting for the campaign will take 4 days to be released.
If I previously manually selected an attribution window for a SKAN 4.0 app campaign, will the automated rules unintentionally reselect and change my original choice for this campaign?
No, automated rules will not override your manually selected attribution window. Automated rules will only select the 0-2 days attribution window by default if you did not previously select a campaign's attribution window.
