About business registration

Business registration is a process for TikTok Business Accounts to boost authenticity of their business to both the platform and users. Business Accounts that are registered signal credibility and trust with potential customers.


Through the registration process, you can gain exclusive access to tools and features designed to help them find commercial success. Business Accounts of all types and sizes can apply for business registration. Learn more about TikTok Business Account features.


Note: Business registration is different from the blue-checkmark profile indication, which is only for high-profile accounts such as celebrities and major brands.


To add a link to your website or other social media platforms on your TikTok profile, you must have at least one of the following:


Features

Although Business Account registration is optional, there are specific tools and features designed to help you find commercial success. You'll be able to enhance your marketing strategies, track performance metrics, and engage with a broader audience through TikTok’s ecosystem.


Features available to registered Business Accounts:

  • Business Account Lead Generation

  • Destination Links (formerly known as Product Links)

  • App Download Links

  • Video Settings

  • Multi-user login for direct message management

  • Link-in-Bio

Note: Feature availability is subject to change. Some features are not available depending on your market or other account factors.


Some tools may be restricted depending on your region. it will appear in your Business Suite, but you won't be able to use it.


Upon successfully switching to a registered Business Account, you must still follow TikTok's Community Guidelines. If our systems detect violations to those guidelines, your Business Account may be entered into a recertification period. During this period, you would lose access to features exclusive to registered Business Accounts and potentially lose your registration status unless your Business Account becomes recertified.


To recertify your Business Account

If your Business Account enters the recertification process, you will receive a notice in your account inbox that you have lost access to tools exclusive to registered Business Accounts. You will also be provided information on how to regain access to those tools and instructions on how to find the violations. You can find violations by going into your TikTok app, clicking your profile, and in Video Gallery looking for the "Restricted" label on your post(s).


For a Business Account that has been registered manually, your account will enter a 30-day recertification period during which it must have 0 violations to be recertified. On the 31st day, you will be notified about the restoration of your registration status.


Any violations during the recertification period will revoke your registration status and you will need to register your Business account again. Learn how to register your Business Account.
