The Maximum Delivery bidding strategy is available for all search campaign scenarios in TikTok Ads Manager. All objectives, regardless of whether the catalog is enabled or which Optimization Goal is selected, support Cost Cap and Maximum Delivery.

Benefits

  • Maximum Delivery support varies by Search Campaign objective. While some objectives already support Maximum Delivery, others will gain access as the rollout continues.

  • TikTok Ads Manager offers a simplified campaign setup and removes the complexity of setting a bid price.

  • With Maximum Delivery, you can utilize your budget more effectively and avoid below average bids for Search Campaigns.


Create a Search Campaign with Maximum Delivery

When you create a Search Campaign, Maximum Delivery is the default bid strategy if no value is entered in the bid field. Depending on your optimization goal, you may see one of the following optional fields:

  • Cost cap per click (optional)

  • Target CPA (optional)


You can continue without entering a value in either field. Leaving the field blank applies the Maximum Delivery bid strategy. Each field includes a tooltip:

  • Cost cap per click (optional): Cost cap per click isn't required. Leave it blank for maximum delivery, or enter a value to use Cost Cap. Learn more.

  • Target CPA (optional): Target CPA is optional. Leave it blank to use the maximum delivery bid strategy, or enter a value to control your CPA. Learn more.

Edit a Search Campaign

When you edit an existing Search Campaign, your ability to change the bidding strategy depends on the current strategy.


If the current bidding strategy is Cost Cap, you can edit the bid price, or remove the bid value to switch to Maximum Delivery. If a bid value was previously entered and you delete the number, a message will display "The bid strategy has changed and delivery performance may change." and an error hint with an undo button will display "Changing the bid strategy may affect performance. Undo"


Although you may create new ad groups when you change bidding strategies, edits made at the campaign level take effect across both new and existing ad groups.
