About multi-link ads

Last updated: July 2026

Multi-link ads allow you to include multiple destination links within a single ad, giving your audience more choices to explore what you offer. This format is for advertisers who want to provide a more flexible and efficient user journey, guiding people to different pages like a website, a specific app page, or a product list directly from one creative.

Benefits

  • Offer flexible destinations: Direct users to various landing pages from a single ad. Supported destination types include website links, deeplinks, product listing pages, and specific product description pages.

  • Improve user journeys: Give your audience the power to choose the most relevant path, creating a more personalized and streamlined experience that can lead to a clearer path to conversion.

  • Enhance creative flexibility: Use multiple hero images in a carousel format, with each card linking to a different destination. This allows you to showcase a range of products or features in one ad.

How to create a multi-link ad

  1. Log in to TikTok Ads Manager

  2. Start creating a new campaign.

  3. Select a supported ad objective for your campaign. See the above availability section for campaign compatibility and access.

  4. At the ad level, set up your main creative, either a hero image or hero video. Note: If utilizing a carousel ad, adding multiple hero images is supported.

    1. For images, we recommend a 1:1 aspect ratio with resolution of at least 750 x 750 pixels.

    2. For videos, we recommend avoiding important visuals near the bottom of the frame.

    3. For ad copy, the ad will start with showing 2 lines of your inputted ad caption text by default. Anything beyond 2 lines will be hidden behind the expand button. Retailer CTA tiles will not interfere with the ad copy.

  5. Then add multi-link destinations by toggling on Use additional destination links.

  6. Add 3 sub images. For each image, add a unique destination link, such as a website URL, deeplink, product listing page, or specific product description page.

    1. Note: Only website URLs can be previewed on this page. If the URL type is not supported, the system will block the preview and display a tooltip instructing you to preview it elsewhere.

  7. For each image, click the external link icon to preview the URL destination.

  8. Click Save to confirm. If there is an issue, the system will display a text notification indicating what needs to be corrected.

  9. Publish your campaign.
