How to link a standalone ad account to a Business Center

Linking your standalone ad account to a Business Center from the linking prompt or the settings page helps you achieve a more organized and efficient advertising experience. You can link a standalone ad account to either a new Business Center or an existing one.


Before you begin

Ensure you have admin access to the ad account.


How to link a standalone ad account to a new Business Center

If you are not a member of any Business Center or want to create a new one, you can link a standalone ad account to a new Business Center directly from the prompt without leaving Ads Manager.To link your standalone ad account to a new Business Center from the linking prompt, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your TikTok Ads Manager account. You will land on the main dashboard.

  2. A prompt will appear if your ad account is not part of a Business Center.

  3. Follow the steps to fill in the necessary information to create a new Business Center, and click

    Link to Business Center. This will establish a new Business Center and link the ad account to it, making you an admin of the new Business Center.

    • Note: If you have an account manager, make sure to select Create a new Business Center from the prompt first before filling in the details.


Alternatively, you can link your standalone ad account to a new Business Center from the settings page by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your TikTok Ads Manager account.

  2. Hover over Tools in the top navigation bar.

  3. Click Account setup under the Settings section.

  4. In the Permission management section, click Link to Business Center.

  5. Follow the steps to fill in the necessary information to create a new Business Center, and click Link to Business Center. This will establish a new Business Center and link the ad account to it, making you an admin of the new Business Center.

    • Note: If you have an account manager, you'll need to select Create a new Business Center from the prompt first before filling in the details.


How to link a standalone ad account to an existing Business Center

If you are already a member of one or more Business Centers, you can choose one to link to the ad account.


Note: This feature is only available to standalone ad accounts with an account manager.


To link your standalone ad account to an existing Business Center from the linking prompt, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your TikTok Ads Manager account. You will land on the main dashboard.

  2. A prompt will appear if your ad account is not part of a Business Center.

  3. From the prompt, select Link to an existing Business Center.

  • If you are an admin of the selected Business Center, click Confirm. The linkage request will be automatically approved.

  • If you are not an admin, click Confirm to send a linkage request to the Business Center admins. You can then ask an admin of the Business Center to process the Business Center linkage request.

Alternatively, you can link your standalone ad account to an existing Business Center from the settings page by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your TikTok Ads Manager account.

  2. Hover over Tools in the top navigation bar.

  3. Click Account setup below Settings.

  4. In the Permission management section, click Link to Business Center.

  5. From the prompt, select Link to an existing Business Center.

  • If you are an admin of the selected Business Center, click Confirm. The linkage request will be automatically approved.

  • If you are not an admin, click Confirm to send a linkage request to the Business Center admins. You can then ask an admin of the Business Center to process the Business Center linkage request.


By linking a standalone ad account to a Business Center from the linking prompt or the settings page, you can create a centralized hub for all your advertising activities.
