Acceptable documents for individual identity verification

TikTok requires some advertisers to undergo verification by submitting certain documents. The documents required are based on your account type selection: business or individual. If you are required to submit individual identity verification, you will need to submit a government-issued photo ID.

Submission best practices

• Only JPEG, PNG, PDF, and JPG are supported, and the file size can not exceed 10 MB.

• Make sure that all text and graphics on your document are clearly displayed. If you are photographing your document, place it on a dark background and ensure that all the text is legible.

• Please check that you've submitted acceptable document types.

• Check that the information entered in your submission matches your document.

• Ensure that your document is valid and not expired.
