Audience Sharing in Business Center
Last updated, January 2024

Audience sharing allows you to leverage audience data across different ad accounts for targeting in campaigns. For example, a Custom Audience that you've collected through Pixel can be shared with a collaborating performance agency for remarketing on TikTok. Business Center enables you to view shared audience history directly.

While audience sharing is initiated in TikTok Ads Manager, this article covers the Business Center functionalities related to audience sharing. Please see Audience Sharing in TikTok Ads Manager for instructions on initiating audience sharing.

You can share the following 2 types of audiences:

  • Custom Audience, created from Engagement, App Activity, Website Traffic, Customer File, or Partner Audiences

  • Lookalike Audience

Audience sharing between accounts within a single Business Center has been enabled for all accounts. Only allowlisted customers can share audiences between accounts outside of a single Business Center. Reach out to your TikTok representative to learn more about participating in this allowlist.

How audience sharing works

1. Ensure the "sharer" and "recipient" ad accounts are in one Business Center.

We require the "sharer" ad account and "recipient" ad account to be under the same Business Center.

  • The "sharer" ad account must be owned by this Business Center.

  • The "recipient" ad account must be under the same Business Center - owned by, or shared operator or admin access with Business Center.

To learn how to request access, refer to How to Manage Ad Accounts in Business Center.

For example:

2. Make sure the operator has admin and operator permission for the "sharer" ad account.

Go to the "sharer" ad account. Under Account Setup, select Basic Information. On the bottom right of the page, click Enter Business Center.
