Best Practices for Linking TikTok and TikTok For Business Accounts

Before getting started: This feature is currently being tested and only available for select users in the APAC market.

We've put together a series of recommendations that will help ensure you have a smooth process of linking your TikTok and TikTok For Business accounts.

Before getting started

• ​Confirm your TikTok For Business account isn't linked with a TikTok account. To do this, go to your TikTok For Business User Settings page. From there, look at the TikTok Account field under the Profile module.

• ​Confirm that your TikTok account isn't linked with a TikTok For Business account. To do this, open the TikTok app and go to your profile page. From there, open your Settings and privacy page and go to Security and login > Manage app permissions > TikTok For Business.

After linking the accounts

• ​Confirm your TikTok account is linked with your TikTok For Business account. Go to your User Settings and confirm you have linked your TikTok For Business account with the desired TikTok account.

• ​If you used your TikTok account to create a TikTok For Business account, add an email or phone number to your TikTok For Business account. Adding an additional sign-in method will ensure you can access your TikTok For Business account if you cannot log in using your TikTok account. You can add or update an email and phone number from your User Settings page.
