Data security is an extra layer of security for your advertising data. When you turn on Data Security Verification, you will need to verify your identity (by entering a verification code) to access your advertising data.

This additional layer of verification will help ensure that you are the only person who can access your account's sensitive data.

Enable Data Security Verification

You can turn on Data Security Verification directly from your TikTok For Business User Settings page. Currently, there are two methods to enable Data Security verification.

• ​By email

We highly recommend setting up both methods of Data Security verification so you have a backup in case one way is unavailable.

Using Data Security Verification

After turning on Data Security Verification, you will need to input the verification code for your account when you attempt to access some sensitive data.

If you have turned on both Data Security Verification methods, you may choose the way you wish to receive your code.

Changing Data Security Verification phone number or email address

You can always change the phone number or email address that you use for Data Security Verification. To do this, you will need to verify your identity by entering your verification code and then binding a new phone number or email address to your account.
