Edit Ads Using Bulk Import & Export
Last updated, May 2024

The Bulk Import & Export feature is a great way to quickly edit large numbers of ads at once. To do this, advertisers can export their ad settings in a spreadsheet and bulk edit their ads as they would on the platform.

The following editing scenarios are supported by the Bulk Import feature:

  • At the Campaign Level: Campaign Name, Campaign Budget

  • At the Ad Group Level: Ad group Name, Targeting (Audience, Gender, Age), Delivery Schedule, Bid, and Budget

  • At the Ad Level: Ad Name, Ad text, Profile image, and new Creative.

For a brief overview on how to edit ads in bulk, watch the video below.

For more information about what fields can be modified please see Index of Bulk Import & Export Template.

Step 2. Edit Settings

After you have exported your ads into a spreadsheet, you will then need to make the desired changes to the ad settings. When editing your ads do not edit your Campaign Id, Ad Group Id, or Ad Id fields. The system uses these IDs to identify your ads and it will be unable to edit your ads if these fields are changed. Additionally, when editing your ads, you need to make sure that you do not delete any required fields, as this will cause your file to fail to import successfully.

Note: Do not delete any columns or adjust the headers of your exported file as it will be unable to import properly.

Step 3. To import your spreadsheet to TikTok Ads Manager:

  1. Go to the Campaign tab.

  2. Click the Bulk Feature Icon next to the Create button.

  3. Click the Import Ads Icon.

  4. Upload CSV or Excel File.
