If you are a TikTok Creative Service Provider or Marketing Partner, you must tag your creative assets with TikTok Smart Tag before sending them to your client. Tagging your creative assets lets TikTok identify you or your company as the creator of the asset, which is needed to obtain the advertiser's consent to share ad performance data with you.
There are two types of vendors that will need to use Smart Tag:
Creative Service Providers – any vendor that provides creative services including content planning, creative ideation and content production, creator services, AR development, campaign management, creative analysis, reporting, etc. to advertisers participating in a TikTok-initiated program.
TikTok Marketing Partners – any creative service provider who is a part of the TikTok Marketing Partners Program.
To get started with TikTok Smart Tag, watch the video below.
Go to https://ads.tiktok.com/business/tracking/ and log in to your TikTok For Business account.
From the Tag Creatives tab, enter or select your Business Center ID.
To find your Business ID, go to https://business.tiktok.com/ and log in. Locate your Business Center ID under your Business Center name.
If you don't have a TikTok Business Center, see "How to Create a TikTok Business Center" and follow the steps listed in the article.
2. Select a program that your asset belongs to. If you don't know the program name, please contact your TikTok Partnership representative.
Under Upload videos, click Upload or drag and drop your files; then click Submit All Assets. Once the files are uploaded, they will be automatically tagged by our system.
Note: Duplicate files aren't allowed.
Click Tagging History to view information about previously uploaded files.
Note: Tagging History doesn't support editing.
