How to create a lite project in TikTok One

Last updated: January 2026

Lite projects are for brands and agencies that have existing creators or prefer off-platform collaboration. You'll be able to invite creators to your lite project using an invite link sent to creators off-platform or a linking request in-app to creators for existing videos.

How to work with creators on lite projects

An invite link is a URL to be shared with creators off-platform to upload new or existing videos.

To share an invite link:

  1. Log in to TikTok One.

  2. Go to the lite project overview page, click Copy invite link to copy the link URL that can be shared with creators through offline communication.

To manage invite link settings:

  1. Log in to TikTok One.

  2. Go to the lite project overview page.

    • Note: When the Active invite link is turned off, creators won't be able to deliver videos to your link and your lite project will be paused.

  3. Click Manage project link.

  4. Click Edit details to change the link settings that can be modified.

A linking request sends the request directly to a creator's TikTok system notifications inbox to link existing videos to your lite project. Note: Sharing a linking request is available to select customers.

To share a linking request:

  1. Log in to TikTok One.

  2. Go to Projects, click Add videos.

  3. Enter the TikTok video URL to send a linking request to creators.

  4. Select the videos to add.

  5. Click Confirm.

This will send the request to a creator's system notification inbox for authorization. After a creator accepts the invite, authorized videos will show in the videos tab. To get the spark code, click View details below any video and then click Copy spark code.

Tips for sending an invite link

Include the following information when sending an invite link to a creator by email, text, or WhatsApp:

  • Your sender name and official company email should be from a company domain name. For example, jane.doe@yourbrand.com.

  • The lite project details with the project name, deliverable, key requirements, and deadline.

  • The contact email or phone number for your company should be included for creators to verify your identity.

  • Creators may be hesitant to click on links that aren't familiar. We recommend communicating with creators about the project details to ensure they're using the invite link as expected.
