How to create avatars with TikTok Video Editor using the Avatar tab

  1. Enter TikTok Video Editor within TikTok Ads Manager. Learn how to access TikTok Video Editor.

  2. Click Avatars and browse or use filters to select the desired avatar image.

  3. Click on the avatar image in the preview video to move its position on the screen.

  4. You can also choose the size, shape, and background style of the avatar from the Mask options panel on the back side.


How to create avatars with TikTok Video Editor using the Narration tab

To add an avatar at the same time as adding narration to your video using the Narration tab:

  1. Enter TikTok Video Editor within TikTok Ads Manager. Learn how to access TikTok Video Editor.

  2. Click the Narration tab.

  3. Find the Add avatar checkbox, under either of these scenarios:

    1. If your video has a detectable voiceover, click the three dots in the top-right corner of the Narration panel and click Add script to show the Add avatar checkbox.

    2. If your video does not have a detectable voiceover, click Add script to show the Add avatar checkbox.

  4. Check the Add avatar checkbox for an auto-selected avatar to be generated.

After narration generation, you may select other avatars and edit your avatar in the Avatar tab.
