Landing Page View is an optimization goal under the Traffic objective in TikTok Ads Manager, designed to drive higher quality traffic to your website or Instant Pages by ensuring that users click on ads and successfully load the landing page. Follow the steps to set up an ad group with the optimization goal Landing Page View.

How to Set Up an Ad Group with the Optimization Goal Landing Page View

To create an ad group with the optimization goal Landing Page View:

At the Campaign Level

  1. Choose Auction as the buying type.

  2. Select Traffic as the objective.

  3. Fill in the necessary details for your campaign.

  4. Do not select Split Test at the campaign level, as Split Test and Landing Page View are not compatible yet.

At the Ad Group Level

  1. Select Promotion Type.

  2. Choose Website.

  3. Select Placement. You can select Automatic Placement or choose TikTok or Pangle as your placement.

  4. Select Landing Page View as the optimization goal.

    1. Note: Clicks will be the default optimization goal unless you manually change it to Landing Page View.

  5. Fill in the remaining details for your ad group.

At the Ad Level

  1. Fill in all the necessary details for your ad.

  2. Set up pixel tracking at the ad level if desired.

At All Levels

  1. Create Custom TikTok Ads Report by choosing Custom Columns first.

  2. Select Page Event on the left-hand side.

  3. Choose Landing Page View.

  4. Check Landing Page View Metric:

    1. After setting up the custom report, you can check the Landing Page View metric for all ad groups, regardless of whether they are optimizing toward Landing Page View or not.
