About TikTok Events Manager

TikTok Events Manager is a workspace to create and manage data connections with TikTok whether events take place on your website, app, in-site, or through your CRM. Events Manager was designed for everyone to use as a tool, regardless of technical expertise. Go to TikTok Ads Manager and click Events in the Tools tab to access TikTok Events Manager.


Features

TikTok Events Manager enables you to:

  • Connect data across websites, servers, apps, and stores

  • Add or edit events that best align with your business goals and define how they are measured

  • View event data to see how often accounts take desired actions after interacting with your brand on TikTok

  • Monitor and diagnose set up issues to ensure you're operating under best practices and fix common issues

  • Access diagnostic cards that surface event issues with clickable summaries and detailed instructions on how to resolve them

  • Use filters to switch between Pixel or eAPI testing, and switch event data view between local time and UTC

  • Access a new Payload Helper from the Test Events section for structured payload validation and debugging


TikTok Events Manager home page overview

The TikTok Events Manager home page consists of several sections to help you maximize your data connections:

  • Overview: Provides event funnel statistics and an events table with event type and details. You can also add or edit events from this page. The Events table includes pagination for custom events when more than 100 events are present. View overall trends, event breakdowns, and configured funnel.

  • Test events: Provides instructions on how to test browser-side (TikTok Pixel) and server-side (Events API), and view test event activity. You can filter to choose between Pixel or eAPI testing.

  • Diagnostic cards: Provides a high-level summary of the issue, severity, affected datasets, and impacted ads, and a detailed view with fix instructions, sample data, affected events and metrics over time.

  • Change log: Provides event timestamps in either local time or UTC using the timezone toggle, activity type, and details.

  • Settings: Review accounts and permissions, data connection, privacy, and safety settings.
