How to use Auto-fix to detect and fix creative issues for Smart+ campaigns

For Smart+ campaigns, Auto-fix in TikTok Ads Manager intelligently detects and fixes creative issues related to music copyright conflicts and video specifications. Once identified, Auto-fix enables you to review suggested fixes and apply them with one click or manually edit to address the issues.


Features

  • Detect issues and optimization fixes: Auto-fix shows you potential issues and fixes right in the ad setup process after uploading your creatives, including:

    • Copyright detection: Detects whether music has commercial copyright and provides suggested replacements for unlicensed music with popular TikTok music based on video features.

      • If you receive a copyright fix notification from Auto-fix but can confirm that you hold the commercial usage rights to the music in question, you may disregard this notification. It will not affect your campaign creation and ads delivery.

    • Dimension fix: Detects dimension issues and provides a suggested resize fix to meet the corresponding standards. Note: Currently available for non-Spark Ads only.

    • Resolution fix: Detects resolution issues and provides a suggested resolution fix to meet the corresponding standards. Note: Currently available for non-Spark Ads only.

  • Quick one-click or manual fixes: Auto-fix enables a one-click fix or manual edit flow for a detected issue or optimization that is suggested based on the issue, including changing music, editing title or description, trimming, and cropping.

  • Campaign types:

    • For upgraded Smart+ campaigns only. Learn more about the upgraded Smart+ experience.

    • For non-Spark Ads, features include copyright detection, dimension fix, and resolution fix.

    • For Spark Ads, features include copyright detection only. Note: Available to select customers and rolling out over time.


How to use Auto-fix

  1. Create a new Smart+ campaign in TikTok Ads Manager.

  2. After completing campaign settings and ad group settings, select a video for your creative assets in the ad settings.

    1. Selecting from your creative library will trigger Auto-fix detection features for non-Spark Ads, while selecting from TikTok posts will trigger Auto-fix detection features for Spark Ads.

  3. If an issue is detected for fixing or optimizing, Auto-fix provides a suggestion based on the detection results.

  4. Click Fix in editor to see the potential fix actions. Note: This will replace your creative asset, not generate a new one. The specific edits made to the creative asset will only apply to the ad group it was created under. When the creative is selected again via Creative Library, it will appear in the original version and be available for editing.

    • Click Auto-fix all to fix all issues in one click.

    • Click Fix now to fix issues one by one.

    • Alternatively, you may use TikTok Ads Manager Video Editor to fix the issues manually. Learn more about TikTok Ads Manager Video Editor.

  5. After saving your video, you may preview your fixed video asset.
