About sharing audiences in TikTok Ads Manager

Last updated: July 2024

Audience sharing allows you to leverage audience data across different ad accounts for targeting in campaigns. You can share a Custom Audience (created from Engagement, App Activity, Website Traffic, Customer File, or Partner Audiences) and a Lookalike Audience to specified ad accounts within the same TikTok Business Center.

Note: Only allowlisted customers can share audiences between accounts outside of a single Business Center.

As the data owner, only ad accounts that are owned by a single TikTok Business Center can share custom audiences. You can still manage the audience and any actions performed will also affect the shared audience on the recipient’s side. For example, if you change the name of a shared audience, the name of the recipient’s shared audience will also be changed.

You can stop sharing an audience at any time. You'll have to disconnect it from the ad group before deleting it. The recipient’s ad group will be automatically disconnected from the shared audience, and the shared audience will be no longer available for creating ad groups.

As the data recipient, you can only add the shared audience to ad groups. You can't edit, update, or re-share the audience with others.
