Sharing audiences in TikTok Ads Manager
Last updated, January 2024

Audience sharing allows you to leverage audience data across different ad accounts for targeting in campaigns. For example, a Custom Audience that you've collected through Pixel can be shared with a collaborating performance agency for remarketing on TikTok.

Audience sharing between accounts within a single Business Center has been enabled for all accounts. Only allowlisted customers can share audiences between accounts outside of a single Business Center. Reach out to your TikTok representative to learn more about participating in this allowlist.

How it works

As the Data Owner

You can share a Custom Audience (created from Engagement, App Activity, Website Traffic, Customer File, or Partner Audiences) and a Lookalike Audience to specified ad accounts within the same TikTok Business Center. Only ad accounts that are owned by a single TikTok Business Center can share custom audiences. Once you’ve successfully shared the audience, the audience will appear on the recipient’s audience list.

You can still manage the audience and any actions performed will also affect the shared audience on the recipient’s side. For example, if you change the name of a shared audience, the name of the recipient’s shared audience will also be changed.

You can also stop sharing or delete a shared audience (you must disconnect it from the ad group it is applied to before deleting or it cannot be deleted). The recipient’s ad group will be automatically disconnected from the shared audience, and the shared audience will be no longer available for creating ad groups.

As the Data Recipient

You can only apply the Shared Audience in ad groups. Actions such as editing and updating a Shared Audience or creating a Lookalike Audience from it are not supported. You also can not re-share the Shared Audience with others.

When the owner stops/disconnects the shared audience, ad groups that have applied the shared audience will be affected as follows:
