Learn more about automated rules.
The way you select your objects will change the results. Consider the following campaign called Shoes Spring Promotion that contains 5 ad groups with a total cost lifetime of 240 USD.
Campaign Name | Ad Group Name | Cost Lifetime (USD) |
Shoes Spring Promotion | Red Shoes | 20 |
Green Shoes | 20 | |
Yellow Shoes | 50 | |
Purple Shoes | 50 | |
Orange Shoes | 100 | |
Total | 240 |
If your object is the Campaign, and you set the rule: If total cost(of each object) lifetime >99, turn off, the whole campaign will be turned off because 240>99.If your object is the 5 ad groups, and you set the rule: If total cost(of each object) lifetime >99, turn off, then only "Orange Shoes" will turn off because 100>99.
