TikTok Organization Account
Updating a TikTok Personal Account or Business Account to an Organization Account is a process that empowers organizations to secure control of their TikTok account and allows multiple organization members to log in and manage the account more efficiently. This feature is designed to help organization members collaborate seamlessly on their TikTok presence and address risks related to unclear control of assets and potential security risks from password leaks.
These changes include:
Account control change: The control of the account transitions from the user who initially created it to the organization.
New login method: Past login methods become invalid, and now users can only log in using the username and verification code generated from relevant business platforms such as Seller Center.
Feature adjustments: Certain features will no longer be available. For example, music or sounds from General Music Library used in your current posts will be muted, and you will only be able to use Commercial Music Library. Familiarize yourself with the list of unavailable features for Organization Accounts.
Unique identifier: Your Organization Account will carry a profile label under your username to indicate that the account represents your organization.
The trial period spans 15 days once you agree to updating your Personal or Business Account to an Organization Account. Throughout this duration, you retain the option to opt out of the account update at any time.
If you don't opt out of the account update, you need to withdraw or use your remaining funds and certain digital items (such as TikTok Coins) during the trial period to ensure the Organization Account doesn't contain personal funds. After the trial period, if the account doesn't contain personal funds, the account will permanently transition into an Organization Account and the account will be associated with an organization. Restoring the Organization Account to a Personal or Business Account will not be possible.
Note: Once the trial period starts, you will be automatically logged out and required to log back in using your username and verification code generated from relevant business platforms.
If by the end of the trial period your account doesn't meet the Organization Account update eligibility requirements, the account won't be updated. You will be automatically logged out and required to log back in using your past login methods, rather than the username and verification code generated from relevant business platforms.

Throughout the update process, the following data, if any, will be scheduled for deletion after you successfully update the account to an Organization Account:
Login data and methods, including phone, email, and third-party login methods
Personal social contact information, including contact book information and Facebook friends
Note: After the account update:
You can't use the Organization Account to log in to TikTok family of apps, such as Lemon8 and TikTok Now. Before updating to an Organization Account, please ensure that you have properly stored or managed your data within the TikTok family of apps.
Other previously connected apps, services, and websites, such as Capcut, will continue to work with your Organization Account.
Other data will be retained in the account, including but not limited to the following data. You can manage or delete the data at any time during or after the trial period.
User content and interactions with others, such as your posts, comments, stickers, likes, and livestreams
Your profile information, such as profile photo and username
Your TikTok friends, followers, followings
App and privacy settings
Transaction history, if any
Note: After your Business or Personal Account becomes an Organization Account, any user-generated content that remains in the account will be available for the account holder's commercial use. Ensure you have the appropriate copyright licenses to continue using previously posted user-generated content in Organization Accounts.
Depending on your regions and local laws or regulations, you may have the option to keep or delete the chat history during the account update process.
If you choose to keep the chat history, it will be accessible to any organization member who has access to the account.
If you choose to delete the chat history, it cannot be restored unless you cancel the update during the trial period. Due to technical limitations, in edge cases where chat history exceeds several thousand entries, attempts to restore all chat history may fail.
In contrast, for accounts in other regions, the chat history remains within the account, and you can delete the chat history at any time during or after the trial period within the app.
