Violations to Ad Quality Guidelines may not cause your ad to be rejected or lead to an account suspension, unless the issue violates our Ad Policies or Community Guidelines or poses a risk to our community or platform.
To help create the highest quality ads, follow these best practices for each of TikTok's Ad Quality Guidelines:
Ad content and landing pages must not contain malicious comparisons with other brands.
Examples of what is not allowed:
Featuring malicious comparisons within ad content or on landing pages of products, brands, or other websites of a similar category, such as “This product is % cheaper on our website than our competitor, Company XYZ's website.”
Ad content and landing pages must maintain a positive and non-exploitative experience. Do not use sympathy-based appeals tactics to drive revenue.
Examples of what is not allowed:
Encouraging purchases by asking for sympathy, such as saying the money will help pay for tuition or medical expenses
Distressing imagery, such as excessive gore, disturbing body modifications, or unsettling visual effects
Ad content and landing pages must promote a responsible and respectful environment. Do not depict socially irresponsible behavior, such as dangerous pranks or offensive language that may cause discomfort.
Examples of what is not allowed:
Depicting socially irresponsible behavior, including littering or dangerous pranks
Offensive language or expressions that may cause discomfort
Dangerous activities, pranks, or stunts
Do not feature distasteful or socially unpleasant visuals.

Depictions of mildly unhygienic or awkward behaviors, such as dry nose picking or callus scraping
Socially off-putting or uncomfortable scenarios, such as toilet humor, pet licking feet
Aesthetic grooming or hygiene-related content presented in a non-graphic but uncomfortable manner
