How to remove a member's permission to an Organization Account in the TikTok app

Maintaining a secure and organized Organization Account requires regular management of your team's access. When a team member's role changes or they are no longer part of your organization, it is crucial to remove their permissions promptly. This action helps protect your account from unauthorized access and ensures that only current, authorized members can manage your brand's presence on TikTok.


Before you begin

Ensure you are an Admin for the Organization Account.


How to remove a member's permission to an Organization Account in the TikTok app

  1. Log in to the Organization Account with your phone number or email address.

  2. Tap Profile to go to your profile homepage.

  3. Tap the three dashes icon in the upper right corner.

  4. Tap Settings and privacy.

  5. Tap Account.

  6. Tap Permissions.

  7. From the list of members, locate the member you wish to remove and tap the three dots icon next to their name.

  8. Tap Remove user.

  9. Tap Remove.


Once removed, the user will be immediately logged out of the account and will no longer have any access. Conduct periodic reviews of your member list to ensure that all permissions are current and appropriate.
