How to Translate and dub videos with Symphony Creative Studio

Translate & dub videos is a feature in Symphony Creative Studio that can help you transform your original video's voiceover language into new languages of your choice. You'll be able to clone the same voice or select from a library of stock voices to create new videos.


Note: Translate & dub videos is not available for users in Texas and Illinois in the United States due to local restrictions.


Before you begin

  • Log into Creative Studio with your TikTok for Business account. If you do not have an account, create your TikTok for Business account. Learn more about TikTok for Business accounts.

  • If it's your first time accessing Symphony Creative Studio, you'll need to:

    • Complete your profile.

    • Accept the Creative GenAI Terms.


How to Translate and dub videos with Symphony Creative Studio

To Translate and dub videos:

  1. Log into Symphony Creative Studio on your desktop.

  2. Select Translate & dub videos.

  3. Click the + to upload your video or click add from library.

  4. Under Translate to, select a language.

  5. Select clone in the dropdown menu to use the voice of the original video or select a stock voice.

  6. Click + Add language to add more languages.

  7. Turn on Replace existing subtitles to position translated subtitles over subtitles in the original video.

  8. Turn on Lip-sync if your video has someone speaking on screen to match lip-sync with the dubbed languages. Lip-sync rendering will occur once the video is exported.

    • Note: Lip-sync does not work for videos that have multiple people speaking in the video, lips or mouth covered, poor lighting, or with background noises.

  9. Click Generate.

  10. Review the original and translated scripts.

  11. Click Edit to make changes and regenerate the video.

    • Note: You will be permitted to make minor modifications, such as correcting typographical errors, to the generated script. Modifications that would materially alter the substance of the video, message, tone, or otherwise misrepresent the individual(s) views are not permitted.

  12. Under the video, click Edit video to:

    • Add background music.

    • Add assets to the video.

    • Add stickers or a text overlay.

    • Add effects or transitions.

  13. Once you're finished editing, click Export on the top-right corner. Note: An AI-generated label is added to all exported videos. Learn more about TikTok ad policy.

  14. Click Download or Ads Manager.

    • Note: If you export to TikTok Ads Manager, you'll need to select the account that is linked to your logged-in profile or search for a TikTok Ads Manager account ID.

  15. Click Save and sync.
