The following table outlines the eligibility requirements for updating a TikTok Personal Account or Business Account to an Organization Account.
Requirement | Details |
Account settings and restrictions | You need to be at least 18 years old. A phone number or email address needs to be added to your TikTok account to verify your identity before the update. Your account is not suspended, banned, or deleted. Your account is not designated as a Government, Politician, and Political Party Account. Accounts in Family Pairing mode can't update to an Organization Account. Your TikTok account qualifies for linking to your TikTok Shop. |
Organization entity consistency | You hold no Registered Business Account that is linked to another entity. Your organization has not created the maximum number of Organization Accounts allowed. Your account is not being used to log in to TikTok affiliated apps like TikTok for Business and TikTok Shop Seller Center. You have no pending or ongoing TikTok Shop affiliate activities. |
No remaining funds or digital items | You have no outstanding Income+ funds. You have no outstanding frozen LIVE rewards. You have no more than $1 USD available LIVE rewards. Funds less than $1 USD will be forfeited. You have no outstanding Points. You have no more than 100 Coins. Any remainder less than 100 Coins will be forfeited. You have no outstanding Promote balance. You have no outstanding funds in your TikTok Shop Balance. You have no outstanding funds in Creator Marketplace Pay. |
No ongoing funds-related activities | You have no upcoming LIVE rewards to be paid out. You have no LIVE rewards pending deduction. You have no Coins pending deduction. You have no pending monthly earnings. You have no ongoing Promote activities. You have no linked payment methods for Promote activities. You have no ongoing monetization activities. You have no orders and refunds to be fulfilled. |
No creator activities | You must not have an active Subscription community or be subscribed to any creator’s Subscription community. |
