How to set up Gross Revenue Optimization for TikTok Shop Ads

Gross Revenue is an optimization goal for ad campaigns using the Sales objective. If you have a TikTok Shop, you can choose Gross Revenue to optimize your ads to maximize the gross revenue for your ads and reach more people who are likely to buy your products.

Before you begin

  • You'll need to set up a TikTok Shop that is connected to your TikTok ad account


How to create a campaign using Gross Revenue Optimization for TikTok Shop

To create a campaign using Gross Revenue Optimization:

  1. Create a new campaign in TikTok Ads Manager.

  2. In the Advertising Objective section, choose Sales.

  3. In the Product source section, click TikTok Shop.

  4. Select your campaign settings and click Continue.

  5. Choose your Shop ads type. You can choose the following:

    • Video Shopping Ads

    • LIVE Shopping Ads

    • Product Shopping Ads

  6. In the Bidding & Optimization section, go to Optimization Goal and choose Gross Revenue.

  7. In the Target ROAS section, you can choose a specific ROAS you want to meet. If you leave this blank, your campaign will optimize for Highest Gross Revenue. This means the campaign will aim to spend your budget fully and maximize the purchase value for your ads.

  8. Complete the rest of your ad group settings. When your publish your campaign, it will appear in the Shop Ads column in the Campaign tab in TikTok Ads Manager.
