Boosting app installs ROAS through TikTok full-funnel and partner solutions
Infinity Technologies Global, a Vietnam-based mobile app developer, set out to promote their utility app, Battery Charging Animation, which allows people to change their wallpaper while the phone is charging. Their ultimate goals were to achieve a strong return on ad spend (ROAS) and drive app install volume in Indonesia and other Southeast Asian markets (SEA). To meet these goals, Infinity increased their spend on TikTok and harnessed the power of the platform's lower funnel and creative solutions, working alongside a TikTok Marketing Partner.
During the launch phase, Infinity Technologies Global ensured optimal app campaign setup using TikTok's Value-based Optimization (VBO) in user acquisition campaigns. VBO is an advertising allocation optimization strategy that not only assists advertisers in precisely identifying users who are more likely to purchase web and app platforms and pinpoints user groups with higher per-purchase value. This strategy aims to enhance advertising effectiveness and boost revenue generation by optimizing ad performance based on user value. This solution efficiently maximized the volume of conversions and delivery with outstanding ROAS.
Infinity Technologies Global collaborated closely with official badged TikTok Marketing Partner Adjust to track their user attribution and used this data to measure campaign performance. With this data set, they could better target audiences when leveraging TikTok full-funnel solutions. This helped Infinity Technologies Global scale up its app on TikTok to improve ROAS performance.
Besides running full-funnel solutions for app promotion objectives. Infinity also participated in the TikTok Creative Challenge (TTCC) program by putting out briefs for creator-made videos to drive the adoption of the Battery Charging Animation app. Creators that participated in these challenges generated a considerable bulk of user-generated content (UGC) allowing Infinity Technologies Global to leverage these videos further to promote their app on TikTok, driving maximum performance at scale.
With a strategic TikTok campaign, Infinity Technologies Global not only met but exceeded its goal of boosting efficient app installs. The campaign delivered a lower cost per install (CPI) and achieved 46% higher ROAS than initially targeted. On the creative front, the campaign outperformed expectations with an 8% increase in click-through rates (CTR) and a conversion rate (CVR) that surpassed industry benchmarks by 6.3 times. These results underscore the effectiveness of TikTok advertising and solidify Infinity's commitment to increasing its investment in the platform.
