TikTok Lite is a data-light version of the main TikTok app. It’s designed to be faster, use less data, and work efficiently on slow networks and with older and less powerful smartphones. TikTok Lite is smaller in size compared to the main app and so, it also occupies less storage space on a user's phone.
TikTok Lite is available in over 150 countries across Europe, Latin America, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. While TikTok Lite is widely available, advertising support is limited to select markets within these regions. TikTok Lite offers similar placements to the main app, including the For You page, Profile Feed, Search tab, and Following feed.
All campaigns and ad groups for performance objectives (Web conversion, App promotion, Lead generation) targeting the main TikTok app are also eligible to show on TikTok Lite within the targeted location. We do not break-down reporting for TikTok Lite. Advertisers will see performance and delivery results for all placements combined in TTAM.
TikTok Lite extends the reach of the main TikTok app, helping advertisers access a broader audience. Ads created for TikTok in monetized countries may automatically appear on TikTok Lite for users in the targeted country.
A unique feature on the TikTok Lite app in Japan and Korea is the Coin tab, where users can complete activities to earn TikTok Coins (Including inviting friends to install the app, watch organic videos or paid ads). These TikTok Coins can then be converted to local currency.
In Japan and Korea, advertisers have the unique ability to control whether their ads for objectives such as Reach, Traffic, Video Views and Community Interaction are shown on TikTok Lite’s For You page.
