TikTik supports duplicating ads to allow you to reuse an existing ad. The settings will be duplicated and you can edit them.
Learn how to duplicate an ad group and duplicate a campaign.
You can duplicate a draft or published ad into multiple ad groups under different campaigns in the campaign creation user flow or on the campaign list.
You can duplicate ads that are in the review or rejected status.
You cannot duplicate an ad to or from a campaign that is running a split test. You also cannot activate the split test feature while duplicating an ad.
Copied ads go into review after being duplicated. This won't affect the performance of the original ad.
There are two ways to duplicate an ad. The first way is from your Campaign list:
Under the Ad tab, hover over the ad you want to duplicate and click the Duplicate icon.
Select where you want to duplicate the ad and customize the name of each duplicate. You can choose a new or existing ad group, or a new or existing ad campaign.
Specify the number of duplicates you want to make.
Note: There is a maximum of 50 ads per ad group. If you duplicate an ad to an existing ad group that currently has 10 ads in it, you can generate up to 40 duplicates of the ad.
The other way by which to duplicate an ad is within your campaign creation flow:
On the left-hand side menu, for the ad you wish to duplicate, either click the Duplicate icon or click the â‹® icon and choose Duplicate ad.
In the pop up window, select the ad group(s) you'd like to duplicate the ad to within the campaign.
Specify the number of duplicates you want to make.
Click Duplicate.
Note: When you duplicate an ad to an ad group with a different placement, some settings may change. For example, elements of your ad, such as videos or images, may be removed. Please double-check the details at the ad level to see if changes have been made.
Under the Ad list, select the ads you want to duplicate. You can select up to 30 ads/asset groups to be copied over to a Smart+ ad group (less if the ad group you are duplicating to already has some existing ads).
Note: When duplicating to a Smart+ ad group, only Smart+ or manual ads can be duplicated at a time. Please duplicate again if you wish to duplicate both. When duplicating to a manual campaign, only manual ads will be copied over.
Select Duplicate from the sidebar on the left.
On the next page, you are able to select from Existing Campaign or New Campaign, and select existing or new Smart+ ad groups as the destination for the duplicate ads. New Campaign will create a new Smart+ campaign.
Note: Only campaigns with the same campaign settings will show up in the dropdown. Only ads with the same objective and settings can be duplicated.
Click Duplicate to confirm.
If a Smart+ campaign is selected from the campaign dropdown, a notification will pop up to confirm that you are migrating the ads to a Smart+ campaign.
Note: A pop-up summary will list out the settings that were changed at the ad level, if any, based on the target campaign.
A separate individual summary table can also be found at the top of each duplicated ad's creation page. To view this, you can click on View Details. The duplicated ad groups and ads will be auto-saved as drafts if you exit the creation flow before publishing. The change summary and individual summary tables will not be preserved in this case.
