How to modify a member's permission to an Organization Account in the TikTok app

As your team evolves, you may need to adjust the permissions of your members. Modifying a member's role from Admin to Operator or vice versa is a straightforward process that helps you maintain the right level of security and control over your Organization Account.


Before you begin

Ensure you are an Admin for the Organization Account.


How to modify a member's permission to an Organization Account in the TikTok app

  1. Log in to the Organization Account with your phone number or email address.

  2. Tap Profile to go to your profile homepage.

  3. Tap the three dashes icon in the upper right corner.

  4. Tap Settings and privacy.

  5. Tap Account.

  6. Tap Permissions.

  7. Locate the member whose permissions you wish to adjust and tap the three dots icon next to their name.

  8. You will see options to either Set as admin or Set as operator. Select the new role you wish to assign.

  9. Tap confirm.


By keeping your team's permissions up-to-date, you ensure that everyone has the appropriate level of access to contribute effectively while safeguarding your account's security. It is good practice to inform the members of their new responsibilities after changing their role.
