Unlinking a TikTok account from an ad account is a critical administrative task for maintaining control over your brand's advertising assets. This action immediately revokes the ad account's permission to use the TikTok account's identity and content for campaigns. It's a necessary step when a project ends, a partnership changes, or you need to restructure your advertising operations. This process ensures that your valuable brand assets are only used by authorized accounts, safeguarding your permissions and budget.
Ensure you have successfully linked a TikTok account to ad accounts in TikTok Business Center.
Ensure you are a member with Admin access to the Business Center.
Log in to your TikTok Business Center account.
Click Accounts in the left-hand menu.
Click TikTok accounts.
In the TikTok account list, find the TikTok account that you want to unlink from an ad account.
In the Action column for the TikTok account, click View.
In the Link accounts tab, click Advertiser accounts.
Click Remove next to the ad accounts you want to unlink.
Click Confirm.
The ad account and any members accessing it will no longer be able to select this TikTok account as an identity when creating new campaigns. Any existing ads that were using this identity may be affected, so it's best practice to pause relevant campaigns before unlinking. This simple action provides immediate and robust control over your advertising permissions.
