You can use Spark Ads to leverage organic TikTok posts and their features in your advertising. Each TikTok Ads Manager account can support a maximum of 10,000 Spark Ads. You are able to select Spark Ads along with other ad formats when you are creating an ad for manual and search campaigns. To create a Spark Ad, you must select a TikTok account as your identity for your Spark Ad. The three methods for sourcing authorized Spark Ads creatives for your ad include:
When creating a campaign, you can link to a TikTok account (such as your in-house organic TikTok account or a creator's account) and select from available creatives from your authorized identities.
Creators can choose to provide a code to authorize using their post in your Spark Ad. Creators can find the authorization code in the TikTok app by going to the video that they want to share, tapping the three dots on the video, tapping on the Ad settings icon, and tapping Generate to retrieve the TikTok post code.
You can push new posts from TikTok Ads Manager to a selected identity (TikTok account) authorized through TikTok Business Center. Learn more about how to link a TikTok account for Spark Ads delivery.
To create Spark Ads for Manual and Search Campaigns in TikTok Ads Manager:
Log into TikTok Ads Manager.
Go to the Campaign tab.
Click +Create to create a new campaign.
Select an Advertising Objective.
Complete Campaign and Ad Group settings.
Go to the Ad details section.
Choose the creatives you wish to Pull or Push as Spark Ads by clicking + Add videos or images to open the creative selection drawer, which includes TikTok posts and Creative library, or + Create New to open the video editor.
You cannot edit a post's caption after it’s been authorized as an ad. Please make sure the ad caption is the final version when creating Spark Ads.
A private video will become public once it is used in a campaign, and the video privacy status cannot be changed during promotion (however, you can turn on the TikTok Ads Only Mode).
Follow the remaining directions for pull or push methods.
To pull content from your linked business accounts, authorized TikTok accounts through Business Center, or authorized TikTok posts by video code into TikTok Ads Manager:
Choose the TikTok posts tab, and select the designated post you want to use in Spark Ads and click Confirm.
Click Add post to authorize new posts as Spark Ads. You can batch authorize up to 20 video codes at a time. There is an authorization period for you to review beneath each post.
Complete Ad details, Destination, and optional Tracking details.
Click Publish all.
Note: A video code can only be deleted when all the ads this video is used in are deleted in TikTok Ads Manager.
To push creatives from TikTok Ads Manager into a TikTok account:
Choose the Your Library tab, and select the creatives you want to use in Spark Ads and click Confirm.
Complete Ad details including Identity, Music, Text, Call to Action, Destination, and optional Tracking details.
Click Publish all.
