When you create an ad, TikTok reviews it to ensure it meets advertising policies. You can check the status of your ad in TikTok Ads Manager. The Status column shows your ad's delivery state, flags any issues - even if they come from a lower level in your account - and recommends next steps, all in one place.
Most ads are reviewed within 24 hours, but in some cases it may be longer. Learn more about the ad review process.
To check the status of an ad and see recommended actions:
Log in to your TikTok Ads Manager account.
Click Campaigns in the top menu.
Select the Campaign, Ad group, or Ad tab (you can check status at any level).
In the Status column, find the item you want to review.
Read the status detail next to the main status. This tells you the real reason behind the ad's current state - for example Active, Partial Delivery, or Not Delivering. If the issue originates at a lower level (e.g. a rejected creative within an active campaign), it will surface here automatically without requiring a drill-down.
Click the View button next to the status to open an action card. Depending on the situation, you'll see a Fix card (to resolve a spending issue - e.g. Smart Fix, Appeal) or an Optimization card (to improve performance - e.g. Add creatives, Adjust bid). Follow the recommendation on the card to resolve the issue or improve results. If your item is Disapproved, open the Secondary Status card and click View more to see the policy reason and suggestions for fixing it. Learn more about best practices for ad reviews.
For definitions of each primary/secondary status, see ad statuses and definitions.
Tip: Filtering by status - You can use the search & filter bar or the column header to filter by any specific primary status.
If your ad isn't approved, you can hover over the Disapproved status in the Delivery optimization column to learn more about the rejection reason. Click View More to learn about ad policies and suggestions for your ads. Learn more about best practices for ad reviews.
