Ad statuses and definitions in Ads Manager
Last updated, April 2024

When you create a campaign or ad, TikTok reviews the content to ensure it follows advertising policies. You can check ad statuses through your TikTok Ads Manager account.

Certain conditions can affect your ad status:

  • Whether your ad follows TikTok advertising policies

  • If your ad's scheduled run has completed

  • The ad reached the set budget

  • You closed or deleted your ad group or campaign

Each status has a different meaning to indicate the condition of your campaign, ad group, or ad:

  • Active: The ad is running as expected, or your campaign or ad group contains at least one ad that is running as expected.

  • Inactive: The campaign, ad group, or ad is paused.

  • Completed: The ad group or ad is no longer running because the scheduled end date has passed. Learn how to check ad scheduling.

  • Not Delivering: The campaign, ad group, or ad is no longer running due to budget or violation of TikTok's advertising policies.

  • Deleted: The campaign, ad group, or ad can't run because it is deleted.

You can hover over the status to learn more information, including the suggested actions to take.
