When you create an ad, TikTok reviews the content to ensure it follows advertising policies. You can check ad statuses through your TikTok Ads Manager account.
Certain conditions can affect your ad status or trigger a new review:
Whether your ad follows TikTok advertising policies
If your ad's scheduled run is complete
The ad reached the set budget
You closed or deleted your ad group or campaign
On your ad list, each ad will display a status as well as additional information about why your ad is in that particular state. Below, you will find a full list of possible statuses and explanations:
Active: The ad is running as expected, or your campaign or ad group contains at least one ad that is running as expected.
Review for modification: Your ad was edited and has re-entered the ad review process. If the ad is rejected after this review, then the delivery process will be affected.
Pending: Your ad is under review. It is not delivering. There is no specific action required at this time.
Ad under review: Your ad is currently under review.
Account under review: Your ad account is currently under review.
Ad group under review: Your recently created ad group is under review.
Review for modification: Your ad or associated ad group was recently edited and your ad has re-entered the review process.
Search keywords under review: Your search keywords are under review.
To be delivered: Your ad is scheduled to run on a future date.
Limited Delivery: Your ad is only partially delivering. Action may be required.
Search keywords partially approved: Some of the search keywords are still under review, while others have already completed the ad review process and started delivery.
Limited traffic: Your ad is experiencing limited traffic. You should check your ad settings to optimize your organic traffic. Note: If you enabled "ad traffic only" mode, it will affect the delivery of your anchors and trigger this status.
Missing anchor authorization: Product anchor authorization was withdrawn by the video creator. The product anchor link is not available. Learn more about product anchor links.
Anchor unavailable: Your product anchor link may have been reported and may be under review. If it is under review, it has temporarily been revoked from your ad. If it was rejected during review, it has been permanently revoked and you will need to replace it.
No targetable locations for anchor: After ad creation, you can edit your targeting locations, but product anchor links are restricted by the country or region chosen during creation. If you change the country during ad delivery, previously generated product anchor links will not be supported in the newly selected country, making them ineffective. You'll need to reset the targeting locations to countries or regions that support the product anchor links.
