Reporting for Keyword expansion for TikTok Shop Ads

Note: Keyword expansion for Shop Ads is currently available to all advertisers in the US and SEA and will slowly be rolling out to advertisers in other locales.


When you use Keyword expansion for your Product Shopping Ads or Video Shopping Ads, you can see metrics for each keyword to see how well they performed in search placements.


How to find keyword metrics

To see metrics for your keywords:

  1. Go to TikTok Ads manager.

  2. Click Campaign at the top of your dashboard.

  3. Find the Product Shopping Ads or Video Shopping Ads ad group you used Keyword expansion for and click View Data.

  4. Click Search.


You'll see the following metrics:

  • Impressions

  • Clicks (Destination)

  • CTR (Destination)

  • Purchase rate (Shop)

  • Purchases (Shop)

  • Gross revenue (Shop)

  • Average order value (Shop)


You will only see metrics for keywords you chose through Keyword expansion. Keywords will appear in your report about 11 hours after your ads start to deliver, so we recommend waiting a couple of days before evaluating keyword performance. If your keywords haven't recorded any impressions yet, they won't appear in your report.
