About Smart+ Auto Budget Increase (Cost Cap/Minimum ROAS/Target ROAS)

Last updated: October 2025

The auto budget increase setting automatically raises your daily budget when certain conditions are met. This helps goal-based bidding campaigns (Target ROAS and Cost Cap) scale more efficiently, without requiring constant manual adjustments.

Note: The Auto Budget Toggle is not available to all advertisers at this time.

Benefits

  • Optimize campaign performance: The system monitors performance and only increases budget when performance is strong, helping you reach your business goals.

  • Save time and effort: No need to manually check results and update budgets daily. The system makes adjustments for you.

Availability

The auto budget increase setting is available under the following settings:

Campaign Budget Optimization (CBO) is enabled with daily budget

- The toggle will be displayed on the campaign-level settings page under the budget strategy section.

- For new and copied campaigns, the toggle will be switched on by default. You can toggle it off at anytime.

- For existing campaigns, the toggle will be switched off by default. You can toggle it on during campaign delivery.

CBO is off and you're setting budget at the ad group level

- The toggle will show in the ad group settings in the Budget & Schedule section.

- For new campaigns, the toggle will be switched on by default. You can toggle it off at anytime.

- For existing campaigns, the toggle will be switched off by default.

How it works

Your daily budget will increase when both of these conditions are met:

  • Performance condition

    • Cost Cap campaigns or ad groups: Actual Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) is within the Cost Cap bid.

    • Minimum ROAS or Target ROAS: Actual ROAS meets or exceeds the your ROAS bid.

  • Budget condition

    • At least 90% of the daily budget is spent.

    • Note: Low budgets may limit scaling and campaign delivery.

When both conditions are met, the system will automatically increase the daily budget by 20% of the original budget.

  • The budget can increase up to 10 times per day.

  • Each increment equals 20% of the original budget.

  • At the start of the next day, the budget resets to the last manual input.

  • If the conditions are met again, auto increases will continue.
