Smart+ Catalog Ads for Website and app is an AI-powered campaign that automates targeting, ad creatives and landing destinations for both website and app sales destinations.
Create a catalog with products. You will need at least 4 products in your catalog that are in stock, approved, and activated.
Create single videos or carousels with images or videos from your product catalog.
You'll need at least one app available for Android or iOS, as well as a valid website.
Ensure you've applied the correct MMP settings for your iOS or Android. Learn more about MMP tracking. For a Smart+ campaign for web and app:
Enable probablisitic match for iOS
Ensure re-engagement attribution windows are aligned to your campaign attribution settings
Set your app re-engagement window to 30 days
To create Smart+ Catalog Ads for website and app:
Log in to TikTok Ads Manager
Click Campaign at the top of your dashboard.
Click +Create.
Select Sales as your ad objective.
Choose Website and app as your sales destination.
Choose Smart+ campaign as your campaign type.
Click Continue.
In the Product source details section, turn on Use catalog.
Choose the catalog you want to use.
Choose which products you want to include in your campaign. You can choose:
All products: Feature all the products in your catalog.
Product set: Your ad will dynamically feature products from the product set you chose.
Specific products: Choose up to 20 products from your catalog.
In the Optimization and bidding section, choose your landing destinations and campaign goals. You must select at least one iOS or Android app and one data connection for your website.:
iOS: Choose your iOS app in the dropdown menu. Select your iOS app to be included.
Android: Choose your Android app in the dropdown..
Goal: Continue with the pre-selected Conversion goal.
Data connection: Select the pixel for your website in the dropdown menu..
Optimization event: We strongly suggest Purchase, but all standard events are available.
Set your budget and schedule.
Define your target audience. To add or create a custom audience, click the toggle to turn on Audience targeting, then click the dropdown in the Custom audience section. Note: For this campaign type, we suggest either broad targeting or a custom audience that includes app activity or web traffic.
In the Ads generation section, choose the videos you want to use for your ads. Note: A catalog carousel will be automatically generated using images from your product details in addition to the videos you choose.
Turn on Use TikTok account to deliver Spark Ads to use posts from a connected TikTok account.
Click +Add videos to choose videos from your library.
Click +Create new videos to create, edit, and upload new videos.
Enter a deeplink for the app that you want people to visit from your ads. You can also use a universal link that takes people to your website if they haven't installed your app yet. Learn more about deferred deeplinks.
Note: A universal link will also apply for product clicks using the page destination in your catalog.
Dynamic add-ons will be automatically selected to help you to optimize your ad performance for Catalog video or Single video formats. Learn more about interactive add-ons for Catalog Ads.
Tracking URLs will be automatically detected. You can also add custom URL parameters to track which ads directed people to your app or website. Learn more about URL parameters for Catalog Ads.
Complete the rest of your campaign settings. When you're finished, click Publish.
Your Smart+ Catalog Ads and the products in your catalog will be submitted for review. When your ads are approved, your campaign will begin to optimize according to the goals that you chose. You can edit your ads any time in the Campaign tab in TikTok Ads Manager.
