How to verify a TikTok account

Business verification is a process that lets TikTok accounts boost authenticity of your business. TikTok accounts that are verified signal credibility and trust with potential customers. Through the verification process, you'll gain exclusive access to tools and features designed to help you find commercial success. TikTok accounts of all types and sizes can apply for business verification.


Note: Business verification feature is only available for users aged 18+. Business verification is different from the blue-checkmark profile indication, which is only for high-profile accounts such as celebrities and major brands.

Before you begin

You'll need a valid business license that matches the region where the business operates. Additional documents may be required depending on your country. Please reference the acceptable documents for business verification and Acceptable documents for individual identity verification to learn about which documents and identification numbers you can submit for business verification processing for your country or region of residence. When you see multiple document type options, try to upload as many as you can, if not all.


How to verify a TikTok account

To verify a TikTok account:

  1. From your TikTok account profile homepage, tap the Menu icon on the top-right corner.

  2. Tap Settings and privacy.

  3. Tap Account, and then choose Business verification.

  4. After reviewing the terms, agree to the terms and conditions and tap Get started.

  5. Fill in basic information for your business.

    1. Select your business's country or region. You may also add your phone, website, and industry, though these are optional.

    2. Tap Next.

  6. Verify your business.

    1. Upload your business verification document.

    2. Enter your Legal business name and Business license ID exactly as they appear on your document.

    3. Tap Next.

  7. Select a method to verify your identity (SMS or Voice Call) and tap Submit to finalize your application.


Your application will be sent for review. Once your application is approved, you'll receive an in-app notification and a confirmation email sent to the email address tied to your TikTok account. This typically takes 1-5 business days.

After you verify your business, your company name and category details will be added to your Business Profile.
