Designating and verifying services rendered by agencies

Last updated: June 2024

Agencies have the ability within Business Center to designate the type of service that they are providing advertisers. Typically, verifying the agency role is an optional step and its use case is discussed between the agency and its TikTok sales representative. Agencies and advertisers will be notified if there is a need to verify the agency role.

How to designate and verify services rendered

Using Business Center, the services designation can be made prior to an ad account assignment to a Business Center or after the ad account has been assigned.

  • Prior to ad account assignment:

    1. During ad account assignment, an advertiser can designate the services rendered when inviting partners into TikTok Business Center.

    2. During an ad account access request, an agency can designate the services rendered when managing ad accounts in Business Center. The admin of the ad account will receive an email to review and approve the ad account access as well as verify the agency service designation.

  • After ad account assignment:

    • The agency can add the designated services rendered by entering the Claims menu in the Business Center. Look for the Claims menu button by navigating to Advertiser Accounts under the Assets tab.

    • Fill in advertisers' account IDs, and select the service rendered.

    • The agency has to select who will have to review the application. If reviewed by TikTok, a verification document should be uploaded for review. If reviewed by the advertiser, the verification document is optional and an email will be sent to the advertiser for verification.
