How to set up TikTok Pulse Premiere campaigns

If Pulse Premiere is available to you, set up a Pulse Premiere campaign in one of two ways:

  1. Self-serve: An advertiser can view inventory directly in TikTok Ads Manager once approved to see the specified lineups. Note: The self-serve process is available to customers in North America and Europe regions. Please contact your TikTok sales representative for more information.

  2. Manual insertion order (IO): A campaign is contracted on a manual IO via managed service through your TikTok sales representative.

How to set up a Pulse Premiere campaign via self-serve

  1. Log in to TikTok Ads Manager.

  2. Set up your campaign.

    1. Create a campaign.

    2. Select Reach as your Advertising objective.

    3. Select TikTok Pulse as your Campaign type.

      • Note: TikTok Pulse is available to select customers. If you do not see TikTok Pulse and wish to gain access, please contact your TikTok sales representative.

    4. In settings, enter a Campaign name.

    5. Click Continue.

  3. Set up your ad group.

    1. Input an ad group name that corresponds with the Pulse offering it will include.

    2. Set Buying type to Purchase.

    3. Audience targeting: Select desired parameters for Audience, Demographics, Interest, and Device. Refer to the TikTok Pulse Planning Packet provided by your sales lead for targeting recommendations.

    4. Feed type: Confirm that Standard Feed is auto-selected.

    5. Content category: Select from the range of available Pulse Premiere lineups.

    6. Content Exclusions: Confirm that Standard Inventory filter is auto-selected.

    7. Schedule: Select a date range you want to deliver your ads.

      1. Ad delivery will begin at 12:00 AM in the timezone of the country/region selected in the Location and the end time will be 11:59 PM every day.

      2. Ad delivery can be scheduled up to 225 days ahead of the current date.

      3. Ad delivery can be scheduled between 1 and 90 days.

      4. Ad Groups must be created at least 1 day before ad delivery starts.

    8. Reservation: Select Reserve Using Fixed Budget.

    9. Frequency cap: Select how often you want people to see your ads.

    10. Ad sequencing & schedule: select your desired delivery mode if you are using multiple creatives. Learn more about multiple creative delivery.

    11. Once the ad group has been prepared, click Next.

    12. Submit Order and Reserve Audience: To reserve your ad without adding your creative, click Just Submit Order.

    13. If you are ready to add your creative, click Continue to Ad.

      • If more ad groups are needed for additional Pulse lineups you'd like to target, create a new TikTok Pulse campaign and select Use existing in the Campaign level section and repeat the steps for creating another ad group.

  4. Set up your ad.

    1. Enter an Ad name.

    2. Select your Identity options, including the display name, text, and profile image. You can choose to also run a Spark Ad as your Pulse creative.

    3. Ad creative: Upload a video or choose one from your library.

    4. Add any Interactive add-ons.

    5. Set your Destination page options, including adding a website URL and/or adding CTA buttons.

    6. Add any pixels or third-party impression- or click-tracking URLs.

    7. Click the +Add button to set up additional ads, if desired.

    8. When you are satisfied with your ads, click Submit to send the ads to review.
