The Objective

Offering a range of comfortable yet stylish activewear for women, the Australian-based brand Leelo Active seeks to inspire women to be bold and beautiful inside and outside the gym. With a goal to grow their community on TikTok and gain more followers through trending videos, they started a TikTok channel in early 2023 and have since grown a tight-knit community of over 8K users and counting. The Solution

To boost brand visibility, Leelo Active leveraged Spark Ads and In-feed Ads, to capture the attention of users browsing on the ‘For You’ feed. Both ad types are effective when it comes to capturing audiences as well as gaining more views and conversions as they appear native to the platform, allowing targeted users a less disruptive viewing experience. Apart from being shown on the ‘For You’ feed, Spark Ads allow brands like Leelo Active to amplify their organic videos or that from creators while retaining all native features and metrics, maximising the reach and business potential of their best-performing content. On the other hand, In-feed Ads are dark ads that allow brands to connect with users while testing the effectiveness of various creative styles. 


To optimise the campaign budget, Megaphone leverages Lookalike Audience to selectively target audience groups with shared behaviours to Leelo Active’s existing customers, increasing the likelihood of conversions. Leveraging signal postback from their website and existing audience insights, the campaign set up on TikTok Ads Manager gives Leelo Active the ability to reach quality users who could become their next customer.



The Results

During a one-year period from February 2023 to 2024, Leelo Active recorded an average 4.5x Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), bringing extraordinary ROI on their advertising campaigns to business performance. The campaigns recorded a high conversion rate (CVR) of 4.2% on ‘Complete Payment’ events through dark ads, and has led to over 870 tracked orders made.
