TikTok Ads Manager structures ads into three parts: campaigns, ad groups, and ads. Ad groups contain ads with similar targeting and budget settings. You can create an ad group within a new campaign flow or use an existing campaign. When you create an ad group, you will need to set up:
Before you create an ad group, consider your advertising objective and where you want your ads to appear. A campaign can include more than one ad group.
There is a limit of 999 ad groups per campaign.
Ad group names support 512 characters. You can also use a template to name your ad group.

To create an ad group in a new campaign in TikTok Ads Manager:
Click Campaign.
Click + Create.
Ensure you are on the Create new tab to create a new campaign.
Choose an Advertising objective and click Continue.
In the Settings, you can name your new campaign and set your campaign budget.
Click Continue.
Name your ad group.
Choose a Placements option.
Configure your Audience Targeting options including categories for demographics, audience, interests & behaviors, and device.
Determine the Budget and Schedule for your ad group.
Select Bidding and Optimization options.
Click Continue.
To create an ad group with an existing campaign in TikTok Ads Manager:
Click Campaign.
Click + Create.
Click the Use Existing tab to select an existing campaign from the dropdown menu.
Click Continue.
Name your ad group.
Choose a Placements option.
Configure your Audience Targeting options including categories for demographics, audience, interests & behaviors, and device.
Determine the Budget and Schedule for your ad group.
Select Bidding and Optimization options.
Click Add ad.
Once you create an ad group, you will be able to:
Delete the ad group by clicking the ⋮ next to the ad group name, then the trash can icon.
