A key element that powers Streaming Ads is catalogs. TikTok uses an industry specific entertainment catalog to help you create ads that are custom tailored for major streaming use cases. You can use a single unified Streaming Ads catalog to support both Media Card formats.
Make sure you have Admin permissions for the Business Center account.

If you choose to upload a CSV file, we recommend using our template:
Log in to TikTok Business Center.
In the left navigation bar, select Assets.
Select the Catalogs tab.
Select Add catalog. Fill in all of the required information. Make sure to select Media and entertainment in the industry field. Click Create when you are finished. Note: Once your catalog has been created, only the catalog name and shipping information can be changed.
Once you save your catalog, you will be directed into the Overview section of your new media and entertainment catalog in Catalog Manager. Next, it's time to add products (individual streaming titles) to your catalog.
From the Overview section of your catalog, select Add products.
There are 3 options for adding products to your new Streaming Ads Catalog: Manually Add, Data Feed Schedule, and Upload File
Manually add:
Fill out the product form for each streaming title including the image and video upload.
To upload product images, click the + icon under the main image.
To upload videos, choose either Upload media file to upload a video file directly or Upload video URL to use a hosting link URL.
Review the information entered and click Add Products to save the title to the catalog.
Repeat the process for each additional title. Once saved, you will not be able to add additional images. You can only replace existing uploaded videos.
Data feed schedule:
Choose whether to upload titles to an existing Product Source or create and name a new Product Source. A downloadable CSV template is available on the upload page.
Paste the data feed URL (http/https/ftp/sftp). If the URL is password-protected, enter the login details.
Select the upload frequency (Hourly, Daily, Weekly, or Monthly), choose the update method, then click Import.
Upload file
Choose whether to upload titles to an existing Product Source or create and name a new Product Source. A downloadable CSV template is available on the upload page.
Drag and drop the completed CSV template into the highlighted box, or browse local files to select it, then click Import.
Tip: Segmenting Product Sources helps track batches uploaded via different methods or at different times.
Upload file + manual upload (hybrid approach): Recommended if you don’t have video assets in hosting link format, but want to bulk upload product details
Upload product details via CSV upload. If you don’t have hosting links for images, use any hosting link & then replace in step 2 or use manual upload method
In your catalog, go to Products and then View product details.
This opens the manual upload feed view showing product details. Click "edit" at the top to update.
(Optional) Click on Product Sets to group specific products within your catalog. This is particularly helpful if you want to promote only a subset of products in certain campaigns.
Note: Catalog assignments cannot be edited once a campaign is saved/active. To change the assets in a catalog for an active or saved campaign, edit the products in the existing catalog instead of assigning a new one.
Uploads can take time to finish processing. Once a product is fully uploaded, you can use the resizing tool on the product details page to crop your image and video assets to the required formats.
From the Products tab of your catalog, select View product details to access the manual upload feed view.
Click Edit at the top right corner to update product details.
Click the pencil icon to replace an image or video.
Click the trash icon to delete the image or video.
Click the crop icon to crop the image.
You can also choose from different sizes to view your creatives.
For Media Card, select 2:3 for image assets and 9:16 for videos.
After you select the size to crop, you can adjust the crop box. The crop box can't be scaled if the size is below the minimum limit.
Click Save to confirm the crop. Note: Creatives for each size must be cropped separately.
After clicking save, wait for the cropped creatives to load before proceeding to click Submit on the edit page.
Once submitted, allow time for the cropped creatives to complete uploading. You can then preview the finalized creatives during campaign creation.
After you've uploaded your products to your catalog, use the Products tab to view, filter, and add more products. You can also use Product Sets to filter and separate products based on the content of your catalog. For best performance, make sure each product set includes at least 5 titles and avoid over-segmenting them.
