How to create your Streaming Ads catalog

Last updated: April 2026

A key element that powers Streaming Ads is catalogs. TikTok uses an industry specific entertainment catalog to help you create ads that are custom tailored for major streaming use cases. You can use a single unified Streaming Ads catalog to support both Multi-Show Experience and Media Card formats.

Streaming Ads: Catalog template

How to create your Streaming Ads catalog

  1. Log in to TikTok Business Center.

  2. In the left navigation bar, select Assets.

  3. Select the Catalogs tab.

  4. Select Add catalog. Fill in all of the required information. Make sure to select Media and entertainment in the industry field. Click Create when you are finished. Note: Once your catalog has been created, only the catalog name and shipping information can be changed.

Once you save your catalog, you will be directed into the Overview section of your new media and entertainment catalog in Catalog Manager. Next, it's time to add products (individual streaming titles) to your catalog.

How to add products to your Streaming Ads catalog

  1. From the Overview section of your catalog, select Add products.

  2. There are 3 options for adding products to your new Streaming Ads Catalog: Manual, Data Feed Schedule, and Upload File

    1. Manual upload: Add products manually. All of the fields displayed upfront are mandatory fields, but you can also expand the page to add optional info. You can upload images and videos directly from your device or by using hosting links. Learn more about available catalog fields for Streaming Ads.

    2. Data feed schedule: Choose this option to upload a feed link and have it refresh on a schedule. In most cases, you'll choose New Product Source, unless you're updating an existing data feed schedule.

    3. Upload file (recommended for Streaming Ads): Upload a CSV file of your feed. Make sure that it follows our template or it will be rejected.

Tip: If you do not have hosting links for your image or video assets, you can use a hybrid approach: upload product details via CSV first, then go to the Products page and select View product details to upload images and videos directly from your device and resize assets on the product edit page.

Uploads can take time to finish processing. Once a product is fully uploaded, you can use the resizing tool on the product details page to crop your image and video assets to the required formats.

How to use the asset resizing tool in Catalog Manager

  1. From the Products tab of your catalog, select View product details to access the manual upload feed view.

  2. Click Edit at the top right corner to update product details.

  3. Click the pencil icon to replace an image or video.

  4. Click the trash icon to delete the image or video.

  5. Click the crop icon to crop the image.

  6. You can also choose from different sizes to view your creatives.

    1. For Multi-Show Experience, select 3:4 for image and video assets.

    2. For Media Card, select 2:3 for image assets and 9:16 for videos.

  7. After you select the size to crop, you can adjust the crop box. The crop box can't be scaled if the size is below the minimum limit.

  8. Click Save to confirm the crop. Note: Creatives for each size must be cropped separately.

  9. After clicking save, wait for the cropped creatives to load before proceeding to click Submit on the edit page.

  10. Once submitted, allow time for the cropped creatives to complete uploading. You can then preview the finalized creatives during campaign creation.

After you've uploaded your products to your catalog, use the Products tab to view, filter, and add more products. You can also use Product Sets to filter and separate products based on the content of your catalog. For best performance, make sure each product set includes at least 5 titles and avoid over-segmenting them.
