Supported methods of payment for Promote

In Promote, there are various payment methods available to you depending on whether you are creating your campaign in the TikTok app or on the web.

You can access Promote in the TikTok app from a video you want to boost or several different ways from within the app menu. Learn how to find Promote in-app.

Available payment methods

TikTok Coins

Coins are virtual items that can be purchased by TikTok users. You can buy coins with real money and use them as a way to activate Promote campaigns to boost posts. Depending on your location, you can purchase them directly from the TikTok website.

Your coin balance can be used to pay for your Promote order as long as you have a balance. Learn how to purchase and recharge coins on TikTok.

Note: The TikTok Virtual Items Policy applies.

• Coins Policy for users in the European Economic Area, Switzerland and the UK.

• Virtual Items Policy for users in all other regions.

Credit or debit card

You can add your credit card, debit card, bank account information, gift cards, and e-wallet as a payment method for your Promote order. Note: These payment options may vary depending on your location.

Promote balance

If your Promote campaign is successfully delivered, you can check the campaign status on the Promote dashboard. If the launched orders are closed early or fails the review, the unused balance of the orders will be refunded to your Promote Balance. You can view the refund amount in Promote by clicking on the Mine tab.

Note: Coupons used to pay for your Promote order may not be returned at the end of the promotion.

Withdrawals from your Promote Balance will be returned to your bank account.

For IOS devices:

• If you paid for Promote directly with Apple Pay, you cannot withdraw from your Promote Balance. You'll have to follow Apple Pay rules for withdrawals.

• Only the amount deducted from coin balance can be withdrawn from Promote Balance. To find your coin balance, go to your profile page. Click Settings and privacy, and then click Balance.

For Android devices and all European countries:

• You can withdraw the money from your Promote Balance by clicking Withdrawal on Promote Balance pages. The processing time for withdrawals may vary.

Note: Your Promote Balance cannot be withdrawn if you have integrated Promote with TikTok Ads Manager. You can only use your balance in Promote for a future campaign or close your Promote account to withdraw your balance.

TikTok Ads Manager balance

After you integrate Promote with TikTok Ads Manager, you'll be able to pay for your Promote campaign using your account balance in TikTok Ads Manager. Learn how to integrate Promote with TikTok Ads Manager.

GMV Pay

GMV Pay is a payment method you can use to simplify payments using your TikTok Shop earnings to pay for your Promote campaigns. Learn how to set up GMV Pay in Promote.
